How are you praising God in these strange times? Even apart from the literal absence of physical worship, it can be difficult to raise our hearts, minds, and voices to praise our Father when the world around us is in a state of gloominess and despair.

It is important to remember that praise is not a feeling, but rather a personal decision. It’s an act of obedience that focuses on God and fixes our hearts on His truth, instead of the circumstances around us.

Take comfort in the fact that you can and should express joy and praise because the battle has already been won. Easter and the glorious resurrection has given us that hope. He is risen, and any outcomes that this world gives to us are in His tender care. No matter what lies ahead, remember that God is faithful.

The book of Lamentations says, “The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness” (Lamentations 3:22-23).

So, praise God today. Thank Him for every victory that He has given to you, and for the ones He will reveal to you in due time.

Let’s make “room for more” praise, and be sure to share how His power and presence is at work in your life, enabling you to be an “alleluia” to others.
