How strong are you in these difficult times? Is your heart heavy? We certainly need all of the strength we can get, but did you know that gentleness is understanding the source of that strength, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord? We are His instruments, intended to responsibly wield the Spirit’s power humbly and meekly.

In the book of Ephesians, we “have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit” (Ephesians 4:2-3).

How can you be gentle during this time? What words of sincerity and encouragement can you provide to someone that will gently calm their hearts?

Take a moment and make “room for more” gentleness, sharing the reserved strength that only Christ can provide, for He says, “Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls (Matthew 11:29).
