Small Group Bible Studies
Study of I & II Peter: The world attacks the Church from the outside and the Apostle Peter wrote to the believers a message of encouragement and endurance, focusing on the importance of living well while bearing up under unjust suffering. False teaching, dissension and strife attack the Church from the inside and the Apostle Peter wrote to the believers to emphasize the importance of growing in spiritual maturity, learning and clinging to the proper knowledge of God though the Word of God. The Apostle wrote two messages – important for the Church then, and critical for our church now. That we might grow in faith and maturity we will focus our attention to these important letters to the Church. We meet weekly on Sunday nights from 6-7:30 p.m. in classroom 1 of the Seaman Center. We hope that you will join in for this important study in encouragement of our Christian faith. For more information please contact Jay Schaefer, sayhey2j@yahoo.com, 407.331.6942.
So what’s the big deal about the Protestant Reformation? It has been said that the Protestant Reformation not only triggered a seismic shift in the life and faithfulness of the Church, but “in the eyes of many historians, signaled the beginning of the modern era.” In its day the movement forever changed the hearts and minds of the believers, costing many life or livelihood. But what about today? Is the “big deal” of the Reformation still worth fighting about—and do we even know what issues were—and are—at stake? Join us as we look at the work of the Protestant Reformers and consider what it truly means to be a church of the Reformation, continuing in the tradition of those who literally changed the world. Class meets the first and third Saturdays of the month, 7:30 – 9:00 a.m. in classroom 1 of the Seaman Center. We hope that you will join in for this important study in the foundations of the practice of our Christian faith. For more information please contact Jay Schaefer, sayhey2j@yahoo.com, 407.331.6942.
Bible and Bagels: Please join us every Wednesday morning to kick off your day with great bagels and even greater words from the Lord as we study the book of Ephesians. We meet at 7:30 a.m. at the Casselberry Exchange (17/92 & 436).
Risen Motherhood: Join fellow moms who are "in the trenches" as we listen through a short and sweet episode of "The Risen Motherhood Podcast". Each week, we will unpack how to use the Gospel to influence every area of our motherhood, from feeding our families to disciplining our children to facing the cold and flu season with grace.
